Collection: Cane Fruit
We propagate everything we sell, in-house, from rooted cuttings and divisions sourced from improved selections grown here on the farm. We don't buy and resell plants like the large online nurseries — every plant starts here, on our Maine property, and we're actively growing, observing, and culling as we go.
Raspberries and blackberries are some of the most rewarding fruits a northern grower can plant — fast to establish, productive within a season or two, and remarkably cold-hardy when the right varieties are chosen. Cultivar selection matters; not all cane fruits are suited for northern winters, and we source exclusively from selections proven to perform in cold climates.
We're always keeping an eye out for standout performers — trading with backyard growers and sourcing from breeders working at the northern edge of cane fruit culture.
If you're a northern grower looking for cane fruits that can handle your winters and consistently fill the jam jars, you're in the right place.

Nice young trees at a great price
Fast great service thank you
Look good, hardy peaches grow like crazy here
I planted them on the same day they were picked up at Hobbs in early November this year. 2025, We can do a follow up review in the spring as to how they take. I enjoyed the trip to the nursery and like to shop Maine Local whenever possible.
The Hazelnut tree came on time without any issues, I was able to get it transplanted to its permanent spot as soon as I could and look forward to watching its growth!
Tree was in great condition when it came in will order from again
Great service and follow up. Would definitely keep you on our top list for future needs.
😊 🙏
Thanks, quality scions. Was easy to graft
Strong, well rooted native roses sent in fine condition. No disappointments here! Thanks
Thanks, this is what I expected!
tree looks good waiting for it to come out of dormancy
I finally planted my elderberry plants 2 weeks after I got them! Because of the weather and the biggest snowstorm of the year I couldn’t get them right in! I kept them in a cool place and when I opened them up they looked great! Starting to bud out and the roots looked phenomenal! Thank you for such quality plants and the extras 😉

Tree arrived quickly, and was larger than I was expecting. Has been in the ground for a few weeks now and is doing great--the deer are leaving it alone for now and it's already putting on a lot of growth! Very happy with this little plant!
Happily surprised
Nice size cutting and good root ball.
