(Prunus persica)

Peaches are great in that they can often grow fairly true to seed compared to other fruit trees. We offer open pollinated seedlings from hardy plants that have consistently produced and thrive in our zone 5 location. As with all sexually reproducing plant species, some variability among seedlings should be expected, but that's often half the fun if you have the room! Can not ship to Colorado

Types offered:

Improved Siberian C

Originally brought to the states as a hardy seedling peach rootstock. In recent years there has been quite a resurgence in interest due to the extreme cold hardiness of these peaches, they truly grow where others cant and often avoid late spring frosts that often plague stone fruits. Although the peaches traditionally were very small and hard, recent selection and breeding efforts have improved size and flavor considerably. Our seed was originally sourced from Driftless Sacred Grove who have been selecting for improved fruit for many years in Zone 4, Wisconsin. Although not as polished a fruit for fresh eating as some other modern peach cultivars, these deserve a spot in your orchard due to there toughness and reliability. (zone 4)

Iowa White

A landrace of peaches reportedly originally grown from seed by the amish community. Our seed originally came via "the experimental farm network" who sourced their seed from northern Iowa. Another hardy peach worth growing in Northern areas. (at least zone 5, some reports of zone 4 although we can't confirm)

 Select cultivar seedling mix

These are mixed open pollinated seedlings grown from traditionally northern grown peach cultivars often including but not limited to contender, veteran, reliance and red haven etc. Add some genetic diversity to your plantings and have the added bonus of strong vigorous plants on their own roots (not grafted) often making them more hardy and resilient. Again, some variability should be expected. (all parent varieties hardy to  zone 5)
