Nova is a mid-season red raspberry bred at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College specifically for cold-climate performance. One of the most reliable summer-bearing varieties for northern growers. Productive, disease resistant, and consistently hardy through zone 4 winters without cane protection. Bears on floricanes in July.
Fruit is firm, bright red, and good-sized with a classic sweet-tart raspberry flavor. Holds up well for fresh eating, freezing, jams, and preserves. Canes are moderately thorny.
