Aronia (aka black chokeberry) is a hardy shrub native to eastern North America. A beautiful plant to have in the landscape that offers 3 season beauty (white blooms in spring, beautiful berries in late summer and fire red foliage in fall). This plant is excellent for wildlife plantings as the berries are utilized by migrating birds in the fall. Often used in drink and jelly mixes it offers a unique flavor high in antioxidants. These plants are propagated from our local ecotype right here on the farm. (zone 3)
